OVERLAPPING TERRITORIES
In this series the artist revolves around the intimate world of family—its memories, its absences, and the quiet threads that hold generations together. Her work do not talk about nostalgia, but about presence—what remains, what is passed down, and what is carried unconsciously.
Working primarily with her father´s architectural plans and found objects of her sons, the artist aims to uncover the invisible line that silently connects one generation to the next. She seeks to give voice to what is often left unspoken in family histories: the gestures, habits, and emotions that echo across time.
The series explores the idea that family is not only defined by names and dates, but by a shared, often intangible DNA blood continuity. It invites the viewer to reflect on their own lineage and the subtle marks it leaves behind. To make visible what is usually unseen—to map the silent, connective tissue that binds us all to where we come from.
How does the essence of an object change when it is transported to a different time and place and how does this relate to the changes that we humans undergo with the passing of time.
