urban-nature project

Alongside her artistic practice, Rosario is developing the ongoing research project Urban Life and Nature, which began during her residency at Artport in Tel Aviv in 2022 and continued through residencies at KBG in Berlin in 2024 and Residency Unlimited in New York in 2025. Each city, with its own atmosphere and relationship to nature, has shaped and expanded the scope of her investigation.

The project is a process of exploration through movement. Rosario cycles through urban environments, neighbourhoods, public gardens, and overlooked natural spaces. She documents her surroundings through photography while collecting found objects, ambient sounds, and organic materials. She also maps her routes, creating a detailed record of the paths she travels, turning movement itself into a form of drawing and documentation. This way of working allows her to connect with each place in a direct and intuitive way, mixing observation, experience, and artistic research.

At the end of each phase, Rosario assembles her collected materials into a body of work, including visual works, texts, and installations, that reflects both her physical journey and her internal experience. Through this process, Urban Life and Nature becomes a poetic exploration of how we inhabit, perceive, and connect with the natural elements embedded within urban life.
