Series Labyrinths
Analogue material such as film, negatives and X-rays, were vital for communication, entertainment and private life. This important material was drastically replaced by digital technology up to the point that new generations cannot imagine taking only one photo and having to wait to develop it.
The series Labyrinths is based on transformation and reconstruction as the main topics, emphasising on a revolution which changed our way of approaching relationships and privacy. As life, analogue material is mysterious and hides a unique story, developing its secrets only by the use of light and shadows. Each work is sewn with yarn of different colors, also hiding a message from the artist. Important current topics are represented by colors: environmental impact by greens and browns, water problems by blues, and diversity issues by blacks and rainbow colors.
As part of an Artist Book exhibition in Gallery Arcimboldo in Buenos Aires, Rosario produced a handmade box and placed the aquatinta "Chaos und Ordnung".
Opposite Points – Couples complement each other, they strive for balance as opposite points.
The two parallel series, Earth and Sky Landscapes, are based on images in which nature has been altered or influenced by mankind. Without realizing it, these new landscapes or changes become part of our daily life.
The initial prints were done based on scraps of metal, material found at construction sites, or garbage - all of which is of no value yet at the same time presents new and exciting opportunities.
Changes, variation, influence and modification. The relationship between nature and mankind... living together, influencing each other, and the difficulty of obtaining a fair balance between them.
This series was the starting point of obtaining movement in a print. It began by using metal plates with different types of techniques such as Carborundum or Aqua Tinta, and proceeded to cut them into pieces and combine them so as to create “couples“.
The series includes sets of couples presented in two ways: “different roles“ and “opposite points“.
The Roles – The female and masculine roles are always predefined by society, but this roles could be in modern life switched.
Opposite Points – Couples complement each other, they strive for balance and are opposite points.
